TheCopyShop can print posters including on fabric which might be easier to transport to international conferences.
Talk to your supervisor to obtain a budget code (or for private prints you will have to pay yourself).

Refer to the Copy Shop links above for details on lead-time, artwork formats etc that they can provide. Some generic advice is given below.

Good Practice for preparing posters for Print Shops
If you wish to have a Research Poster printed it is good practice to prepare a PDF/A-1 file which has your name, date and page-size in the filename.

Decide what page-size poster you require (A0,A1,A2 etc). Refer to conference details to see if they have a specific size or maximum size.

Some printers sometimes have problems with "transparancy" so try to avoid this if possible.

PPRC has a CAD plotter for the Design office.
This plotter can also be used to print research posters in sizes A0,A1 or A2 for members of PPRC and the wider School of Physics and Astronomy.

If you wish to have a Research Poster printed please prepare a PDF/A file which has your name in the file name and in good time send it to:

 * Alex Owen
 * Cozmin Timis

Please send to both Alex and Cozmin (incase one is away!) and state the size poster you require

Please allow 3 days for the poster to be printed incase we are busy or away.
You may be asked to trim the poster yourself. (but not during the refurbishment works)

You are advised that the printer sometimes has problems with "transparancy" so try to avoid this if possible.

We cannot supply poster tubes. We have some to lend PPRC members only.
Ask in Stores.

Poster Summary
 * School of Physics & Astronomy Only
 * PDF/A file
 * Your name in filename
 * Email both Alex & Cozmin
 * State Size Required (A0,A1,A2,A3 etc)
 * Allow 3 days
 * No Tubes

If you are not happy with the above then you are welcome to take your poster elsewhere for example the CopyShop
